Our work with individual senior managers is designated executive coaching. This means working to improve the impact our clients have in their role, both through the way they formulate and execute their decisions and in the way they work with and through others.
What does this mean for you if you have me as your coach? It means being prepared to put aside a regular, uninterrupted time to reflect on the current concerns and challenges facing you. Your capacity to reflect and your inclination to allow shifts in your understanding together create additional ways of thinking – sometimes new learning.
Executive coaching is not designed to mimic therapy, nor counselling, because its boundaries are limited to reflections on you in your role as leader and manager. Having established enough reciprocal respect, I will work with you to gain the “right” to challenge what appear to be the obstacles you face.
